SUMMARY: This position is responsible for but not limited to the following: Responsible for the total operation of the assigned business area. This position is responsible for the efficient and safe manufacturing of quality products in a manner consistent with company policies and procedures. This includes providing supervisors with information, materials, and training, enabling them to produce the highest quality product possible, monitoring records for attendance, payroll, production, safety, and ergonomics, TQM, monitoring and promoting new ideas and encouraging the development of ideas from Team Members. Other responsibilities include overseeing the daily operation of their assigned area or responsibility and analyzing non-routine problems and offering recommendations for solutions to the Plant Manager. Ensure compliance with USDA, Federal and State Regulations. Maintain entire operation of their assigned area, including but not limited to, safety, production yields, quality, Team Member relations, turnover and absenteeism, discipline, payroll, staffing, and line speeds. REQUIREMENTS: Education: Education beyond high school including special training, vocational school, and/or college courses, or equivalent experience. Experience: 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing supervisory role or 2+ years of Tyson supervisory experience. Familiarity with processing floor operations preferred. HACCP certification and a basic understanding of HACCP principals and the ability to perform CCP monitoring verification preferred. Physical Requirements: Must be able to access all areas of the production floor to conduct audits and inspections using fixed ladders, stairs steps, etc. Able to tolerate environmental conditions in the area of responsibility. The temperature in most of the areas range from 28°-45° Fahrenheit. Computer Skills: Basic computer skills. Communication Skills: Good written and verbal communication skills. Able to communicate with all levels of management. Special Skills: Team-leader, problem-solving, and motivation to take on special projects. Supervisory: Responsible for all production operations at the facility. This includes managing all production supervisors’ departments, production schedules, product rotation, CCP verification schedules, and overseeing the safety committee. This role includes responsibility to review team members in these roles and develop and improve in any deficient areas. Travel: Some travel is required as needed.Highly recommended to include a resume in a PDF or Word Document format.
