ABOUT THE ROLE:

Whilst working as part of a team within the Chilled department, the Operator is responsible for providing day to day assistance and support in respect of all routine and non-routine activities, ensuring company standards are met at all times.

 

Key tasks of the role include, but are not limited to:

Working flexibly across a range of tasks from performing checks, packing, tipping, and stacking. Ensuring that appropriate tasks are undertaken to maintain the smooth running of the linesCollects and disposes of all waste materialsAssists Technical Operator in correctly setting the line for production and during changeoversOn the carton line, packs cartons of finished product into cases, according to product specification. Inspects filled cartons for quality issues (print quality, date stamp, seals etc) and raise any non-compliance to Technical OperatorOn the Shake Shake line packs bags of finished product into cases, according to product specification. Inspects filled bags for quality issues (print quality, date stamp, seals etc) and raise any non-compliance to Technical OperatorStacks Pallets according to designated stack patterns, ensuring manual handling, health and safety practices are followed at all timesTips bags of finished product onto the line, ensuring manual handling and health and safety practices are followed at all timesConducts appropriate daily and weekly cleaning and ensures that the highest Hygiene, Health and Safety and Food Safety standards are met

WHAT HOURS WILL I WORK?

The shift pattern is 5 days on, 4 days off, 4 days on, 5 days off, 7am – 7pm.

 

 

WHERE YOU’LL WORK?

You'll be based at our Whittlesey plant in Peterborough. If you’ve spotted our three wind turbines, then you’ll know where we are! With about 350 employees on site, we’re one of our largest plants across the GB business. Our Whittlesey plant is where we make our famous French Fries as well as our chilled products, such as our Shake Shake Fries.
