This role is pivotal in managing expenses, ensuring compliance with federal meat inspection and OSHA requirements, and enforcing company policies. Responsibilities include:
Assisting in manpower planning and making recommendations.Preparing and maintaining accurate records and reports.Effectively solving problems with thorough follow-up.Collaborating with department heads to achieve production quality, yields, and goals while maintaining labor standards and product quality.Inspecting and maintaining high standards in housekeeping, safety, sanitation, and security.Supervising production supervisors and overseeing all shift operations.Qualifications: (It is highly recommended that you attach a resume)
Education: High School Diploma or equivalent; college degree preferred.Experience: 3-5 years of maintenance experience in a related industry, including 1-3 years of maintenance supervisory experience, preferably in a meat processing facility. Knowledge of OSHA, USDA, and HACCP regulations is essential.Computer Skills: Proficiency in standard computer applications.Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Travel: 0-10%Supervisory Responsibilities: Manage subordinate supervisors who oversee team members in the plant. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, training, planning, assigning, and directing work, monitoring and appraising performance, rewarding, coaching, counseling, disciplining team members, and resolving complaints and problems.Special Skills: Strong knowledge of OSHA, USDA, HACCP, safety, security, sanitation, quality yields, costs, and efficiencies.
