The General Manager – Latin America & Canada is responsible for the leadership, planning, developing, and oversight of all commercial activities to ensure region revenue, profit, and customer satisfaction goals are met for the region. The primary responsibility is to develop and lead a team of Regional Sales Managers to achieve revenue targets while selling a premium product line in a complex selling environment. The General Manager – Latin America & Canada will oversee and manage key performance metrics to include funnel management, value selling, and long-range planning. The General Manager – Latin America & Canada will operate in a matrixed organization, and will be responsible for leading the commercial organization, while also providing strategic leadership across the different functions in Latin America & Canada, to ensure the organization is performing optimally.
The position reports to the Vice President / GM Commercial Operations, Americas and will be part of Americas Commercial Leadership team.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
Expected to meet or exceed plan for growth in Latin America and Canada for new and existing business accounts.Overall performance of the commercial organization in Latin America and Canada including the responsibilities of coaching, developing, and providing ongoing feedback and guidance on professional development.Create and execute actionable strategies for the commercial teams based upon sales data analytics and market insights.Understanding and utilizing key market dynamics for developing and closing sales in hospitals, labs, and health systems.Driving physician demand and adoption of new diagnostic methods.Negotiating contracts from single hospitals to health systems.The essential requirements of the job include:
Bachelor’s degree with 14+ years of experience Master’s/Doctoral degree with 12+ years of experience.6+ years managing people.Expertise selling premium products.Strong track record of success in both capital equipment and reagent sales.Skilled using a CRM application such as Salesforce.com.Must speak Portuguese, Spanish, and English fluently.Must have experience working in Brazil and across Latin America.Expertise selling premium products.Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements:
