General Manager II - Westfield, MA

This is a two-shift, Monday–Friday operation. We’re seeking a strong, results-driven leader with proven expertise in strategic planning and execution to drive operational excellence across both shifts.

Provide strategic direction and operational support to meet the established goals for a small to medium sized warehouse which carries a broad scope of responsibilities and complexity. Operate facility while following all regulatory and company safety standards, policies, and procedures.

Key Responsibilities

Lead, recruit, train, and develop high-performing teams by providing consistent coaching and performance feedback to ensure operational efficiency and employee growth.

Drive achievement of company goals through performance metrics, including internal and external KPIs such as Labor to Revenue (LTR), truck turn times, and customer satisfaction benchmarks.

Analyze warehouse operations, processes, and costs to identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities.

Partner with the Sales Manager to support business development efforts—contribute to strategic planning, prospecting, pricing, contract negotiations, and customer onboarding.

Foster a strong culture of customer service and ensure long-term client relationships across the facility.

Oversee and manage budgets, capital expenditures, equipment, and space utilization to align with corporate objectives and cost targets.

Support and uphold food safety, quality assurance, and employee health and safety standards through proper handling, storage, and distribution of products.

Additional Responsibilities

Serve as a key liaison between departments to align strategy, ensure accountability, and drive collaboration across the organization.

Champion a culture of safety, compliance, and continuous improvement across all operational areas.

Represent the facility and company brand with professionalism in both internal and external interactions.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience.

Minimum 4 years of operations management experience in supply chain, logistics, or a related industry.

Proven success in developing and implementing operational strategies, budgets, SOPs, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Experience applying LEAN, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies.

Strong leadership experience with the ability to motivate, train, and grow operational teams.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and working knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).

Excellent communication skills—verbal and written—with the ability to collaborate across all levels of the organization and with external stakeholders.

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a comfort level navigating ambiguity and complexity.

Ability to lead presentations and translate technical concepts into actionable business strategies.

Additional Requirements

Willingness to travel up to 25% as needed.

Ability to work in varying temperatures:

Cold storage: as low as -20°F / -25°C

Dry storage: up to 100°F / 37°C
(PPE and freezer gear provided)

Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. / 18 kg, depending on facility needs.

Comfortable working in environments with varying noise levels.
