Job Title: General Manager - Manufacturing\n

FLSA Status: Exempt\n

Summary\n

The General Manager provides strategic leadership and operational oversight for the manufacturing plant, ensuring alignment with regional and corporate objectives. This role reports directly to the Regional Vice President and is responsible for the growth and development of its people, the plant's profit and loss (P&L), driving operational excellence, and fostering a results driven high performance work environment (culture).\n

Essential Duties and Responsibilities\n\nStrategic & Operational Leadership:\n\nDirect and controls all administrative and operational aspects of the manufacturing plant.\nDevelop and execute strategies that support the plant business plan.\nCoordinate synergies and collaboration with all departmental, and regional, and centralized functions.\n\nFinancial Management & Performance:\n\nPartner with plant controller to set and meet the plant's budget thru analyzing departmental requests, identifying cost reduction opportunities, and allocating resources effectively.\nMonitor shipments and accounts receivables to ensure consistent cash flow and minimize past-due accounts.\nDrive initiatives to optimize profitability and achieve financial targets.\n\nEHS Compliance & Risk Management:\n\nPromote a safe non-violent working environment.\nEnsure all plant operations strictly adhere to local, state (Oregon), and national government regulations, including environmental, health, and safety standards (e.g., OSHA, EPA).\nUphold company policies and ethical standards across all functions.\n\nGrowth & Market Development:\n\nIdentify and develop opportunities for operational growth and market expansion.\nConduct thorough market evaluations and competitor analyses to inform strategic decision-making.\nPromote and represent the organization's brand and reputation within relevant industry, manufacturing, and trade associations.\n\nOperational Excellence & Quality:\n\nCollaborate with the Operational Excellence (OPEX) and Production leadership to review manufacturing processes, evaluate progress, and implement necessary actions to drive ongoing improvements and a lean culture.\nAnalyzes operational responsiveness, promptly implementing corrective actions, and addresses Customer Satisfaction Investigation (CSI) reports and service backlogs to enhance customer experience.\n\n\n

 \n\nReporting & Communication:\n\nConfer regularly with administrative personnel, reviewing activity, operating, and sales reports to inform program or operational changes.\nCommunicate effectively with all levels of the organization, ensuring transparency and alignment.\n\n\n

Leadership Responsibilities\n

Lead your team in the development and fostering of a high-performance work environment (culture) that instills accountability, discipline, integrity and strict adherence to all company directives, policies and applicable Oregon state and federal laws. Responsibilities include:\n\nStaffing and Talent Acquisition: Interviewing, hiring, and onboarding new employees.\nPerformance Management: Planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; and providing career paths where applicable and constructive feedback.\nTraining & Development: Identify training and developmental needs of the organization and ensure growth and development opportunity for all employees and future leaders.\n\n

Education and\/or Experience\n\nBachelor's degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university in Business Administration, Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.\nMinimum of five (5) years of progressive management experience, with at least two (2) years in a senior leadership role within a manufacturing environment.\nPrevious experience in manufacturing, modular housing, or similar production-based industries is highly desired.\n\n
