Sodexo is seeking an experienced and dynamic General Manager 5 - Food to lead food operations at NewYork-Presbyterian Queens Hospital, a high-volume, 535-bed urban hospital located in Flushing, NY. This is a high-impact, highly visible leadership role responsible for managing food services and valet shuttle operations within a fast-paced healthcare setting.
As General Manager, you will oversee a team of approximately 84 union employees and provide direct supervision to 8 Sodexo Managers. You will be responsible for driving operational excellence, delivering outstanding patient and employee satisfaction, and maintaining strong client relationships.

What You'll DoLead and oversee all daily operations related to Food Services and Valet Shuttle Services
Manage unit financial performance, budgeting, and reporting
Develop and execute strategic plans and marketing initiatives
Drive employee engagement, training, and development
Ensure compliance with HR policies, scheduling, and labor management
Supervise cash management and control systems
Maintain strict adherence to food safety and sanitation guidelines
Foster and maintain strong client and customer relationships
Provide strategic guidance and support to managers and hourly teams

What You BringMinimum 4 years of food service management experience, preferably in healthcare
Demonstrated financial acumen and budget management skills
Proven track record of success in patient, retail customer, and client satisfaction
Strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
Proficient in computer systems and operational tools
Excellent leadership, communication, and customer service skills
Prior experience managing union labor is a plus
Healthcare food service experience is preferred but not required
