Job Title: General Manager, HP JV Summary:This highly visible and challenging position is responsible for the management and supervision of all facets of the JV’s commercial, operations, EHS, quality control, facility maintenance, supply chain and sourcing, finance and HR. It will work closely with MPM global teams regarding sales, EHS, cost, production, product quality, productivity, and overall business/JV strategy. It will require a clear understanding of MPM business strategy/targets and how to implement and achieve those within the JV site. Responsibilities Include: - Lead annual business planning aligned with JV shareholders’ strategic goals. - Oversee operations (production, supply chain, sales) - Manage 300+ employees, fostering collaboration between JV and parent company cultures. - Drive EBITDA growth through cost optimization and market expansion. - Ensure compliance with JV agreements, environmental regulations (e.g., ISO 14001), and safety standards. - Represent the JV in negotiations with governments, industry associations, and key clients. Qualifications: The following are required for the role - Master’s in Chemical Engineering, MBA preferred. - 15+ years in chemical industry leadership (Plant Manager/GM roles). - Proven success in JV or matrix organizations with dual reporting lines. - Crisis management experience (e.g., plant incidents, trade disputes). - Knowledge of circular economy initiatives in chemicals.
