We are looking for a commercially minded General Manager to further evolve our premium brand positioning and deliver sustainable business growth with strong active share to reach more children in Japan. **Core responsibilities** + Establish a sustainable growth platform for the LEGO brand in the Japan market + Create a roadmap for long-term success with clear steps and a strong focus on short-term wins + Grow active consumer base through our core themes, boost recruitment through innovation and expand further across categories + Deliver business KPI targets as defined in the annual plan + Build, motivate,empowerand lead a strong local team already in place to deliver our ambitions + Understand the complex and competitive conditionsof the Japanese market and build bridges with LEGO business strategies to deliver on our ambitions + Grow and develop a strong diverse talent pipeline for leadership roles within the BU and wider organisation ecosystem **Play your part in our team succeeding!** BU Japan leads andis responsible forall business strategy planning and execution of the market. The Japan organisation is approximately 50 employees across Sales, Marketing,Operationsand other business supporting functions such as Finance, HR and RegionalCoE. We are looking for a strong business and people leader that will create an engaging “playground” for everyone within the Business Unit. This position is part of the Asia Pacific leadership team andrepresentsthe local subsidiary of the LEGO Group (LEGO Japan Ltd), reporting directly to the Regional President for the APAC Market Group. **Do you have what it takes?** + Strong experience and a proventrackrecordon business performance and leadership in a similar General Manager position or from within Sales & Marketing + Experience working internationally or with international companies/brands. Work experience within Asia and Japan specifically isrequired. + Previous/current P&L responsibility andlonger-termplanning (able to work with a 3-year planning horizon) + Strong stakeholder management capability especially developing trusted relationship with local external business partners with deep understanding of cultural and business custom of the market + Strong strategic acumen combined witha high levelof self-motivation, persistence, and a proactive, can-do attitude. + Depth of leadership, with consistent experience inbuilding teams and capabilities + Experience working collaboratively in matrix organizations, role modelling processes and governance to ensure Japan plays a leading role within APAC MG. + Strong communicationskills and be able to work according to the LEGO Brand Framework Applications are reviewed on an ongoing basis.
