Your responsibilities will include: · **Proactive Maintenance:** Expertly carrying out scheduled and preventive maintenance on various fixtures and equipment throughout our buildings. · **Support & Collaboration:** Lending your hands-on expertise to support various engineering department needs across the hotel. · **Exceptional Guest Service:** Responding swiftly and courteously to all guest requests and concerns regarding their rooms or public areas, ensuring their comfort and satisfaction. · **Safety First:** Diligently inspecting electrical cords and outlets for wear or damage, replacing cords as needed, and collaborating with professional electricians for any complex electrical issues to maintain the highest safety standards. · **Maintaining Excellence:** Performing preventive maintenance in guest rooms and public areas to uphold our high standards of quality and comfort. · **Teamwork & Efficiency:** Responding promptly and effectively to work requests and room inspection reports from other departments. · **Emergency Preparedness:** Being a calm and capable presence in emergency situations, such as fires or power failures, to ensure guest and colleague safety. · **Pride in Your Workspace:** Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe working environment at all times. **We're Looking For:** · **Technical Acumen:** Ability to interpret technical drawings and documentation for effective fault finding and troubleshooting. · **Collaborative Spirit & Initiative:** A natural ability to work both independently and as a valuable part of a cohesive team. · **Organizational Excellence:** A commitment to being clean, tidy, and well-organized in your work. · **Hotel Experience:** Previous experience in a similar hotel environment, with a strong understanding of refrigeration and HVAC systems. · **Clear Communication:** Fluent communication skills in English to effectively interact with guests and colleagues. · **Flexibility:** The ability to work evenings, nights, and weekends as our business demands, ensuring our guests always receive exceptional service. **Our IHG Values: True Hospitality in Action** At IHG, **True Hospitality** is our guiding principle.
