The ideal candidate for this role will have strong attention to detail and the ability to work cross-functionally. This position will perform various machining, finishing and mechanical assembly with both metal and plastic subcomponents. **In this role:** + Set up and run speed lathe, horizontal lathe, drill press, punch press, and/or hydraulic press in order to fabricate and modify metal and plastic subcomponents. + Buff, grind, and/or sand subcomponents to meet surface finish requirements. + Inspect and measure parts using profilometers, calipers, and micrometers to ensure components meet specifications and are within tolerance. + Ensure cleanliness of machined parts. + Spray paint, and electro-polish subcomponents. + Assemble mechanical components. + Adhere to all safety policies and procedures. **On your first day, we’ll expect that you’ll have:** + High School Diploma or equivalent required. + Minimum 1 year of general machining experience, including setting up and running lathes, saws, presses, grinder and sanders, is preferred. + Minimum 1 year of spray painting and/or electro-polishing experience, is preferred. + 2+ years manual lathe and drill press set up and operation experience preferred.
