General Liability Claims Manager
City Las Vegas State NV Shift Day Type of Shift Full Time Department Legal & Risk Management General Liability Claims Manager Golden Entertainment Corporate (Las Vegas, NV) Description: Summary: Administer general liability and automobile claims under the Company’s self-insured retention. Coordinate with Surveillance, Security, Corporate Investigations, Compliance Investigations and Legal departments. Ensure daily operations and experiences meet guest expectations. Appropriately respond to and manage any escalated departmental concerns and guest and/or team member challenges. Essential Functions and Responsibilities: + Work closely with companies and departments regarding guest claims and liability matters + Review and assess Security Incident reports and related Surveillance reports + Interact with guests and/or legal counsel resulting in claim adjudication and guest resolution + Maintain the highest level of confidentiality and professionalism; answer non-routine correspondence and assemble confidential and sensitive information + Interact with all operational and support departmental staff as well as outside agencies and vendors, in a courteous, appropriate manner + Review, analyze, coordinate and report on programs, projects, and plans for improvement or recommendations + Policy review and development + Establish standards of service within assigned department(s) and ensure achievement + Ensure compliance with all applicable gaming laws and company internal controls, policies and procedures, Title 31, and federal regulations, as they apply to the position + Provide outstanding guest service in a timely manner to both guests and fellow team members that meets the company’s guest service culture standards + Provide support and respond to requests of the Corporate Director of Risk Management and Legal department as needed Requirements: Qualifications + Minimum 5 years experience performing same or similar job duties; seven years or more of experience preferred + Previous experience working in Risk Management department in a casino environment preferred + Knowledge of Nevada Gaming regulations and Nevada & federal law as applicable to guest claims and liability issues with an understanding of general and automobile insurance coverages + Must be able to prioritize and work with little direction or supervision + Strong computer proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and Access, specialty software and internet resource avenues relating to the position’s duties + Previous experience interacting with security, surveillance, legal and investigations personnel resulting in guest resolution outcomes + Experience with effective organization and time management involving multiple priorities + Excellent verbal and written communication skills + Outstanding guest service skills + Ability to effectively communicate in small and large group situations, as well as one-on-one + Ability to work a variety of shifts and hours, including nights and/or weekends + High school diploma or equivalent; bachelor’s degree preferred + Previous experience working in environment with sensitive and/or confidential information + Ability to effectively communicate in small groups, as well as on an individual-basis + Must be at least 21 years of age + Ability to effectively communicate in English, both written and verbal + Obtain and maintain all work cards as required by the company + Verify right to work in the United States Work Cards + Nevada Gaming Physical Requirements + Sit at a desk or table and work on a computer (up to 50% of the time) + Move throughout the property in a timely manner (up to approx. 50% of the time) + Ascend or descend ladders, scaffolding, and ramps, as needed, to investigate safety concerns + Vision, speech, hearing, and literacy (critical) + Work for sustained periods of time maintaining concentrated attention to detail + Occasionally push and/or pull up to 20 lbs. + Occasionally lift and/or carry up to 20 lbs. at floor, knee, and waist levels + Occasional standing + Frequent walking + Constant use of hearing and vision, sitting, distinguishing between shades of color, and using tools or equipment requiring a high degree of dexterity Work Environment Potential Conditions + Indoor and outdoor + Smoky and noisy Disclaimer The above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by people assigned to this classification.
