Management of an Accounting team working across multiple countries and companies
Control and manage the accuracy of the General Ledger for the required companies
Complete all relevant month end financial close procedures including necessary accruals and prepayments activities, multiple reconciliations and variance analysis
Prepare and be responsible for all necessary internal reporting required within Europe and to the US head office
Carry out relevant Sarbanes Oxley controls
Statutory accounting and corporation tax requirements for the required companies
Statutory/Corporate reconciliations and European consolidation activities
Control and prepare VAT, Intrastat and EC Sales List Reporting, submission of Vat Returns and related compliance
Manage audit and compliance activities across the team
Support other accountants within the wider team on a variety of tasks in order to meet the total needs of the finance department
Drive development of new/efficient processes/procedures within the accounting team
Manage Hiring activities and staff development and transitions within the team
Own and deliver all company changes to policy, processes and projects for the team and related countries
Own and deliver all externally driven changes, such as changes in regulation and any other changes
Collaborate effectively with different parts of the business as required
Be part of the Senior Management Team, engaging in meetings and discussions, driving projects, inputting ideas and supporting the progress and goals of the full accounting team.
Leading and Participating in strategic financial projects
Provide advice and guidance on accounting and financial implications to the business teams
