Job Description

American Iron & Metal, has an opening for an enthusiastic individual to fill a General Labourer position at our Sydney, Cape Breton Metal Recycling Operation. 

Duties Will Include: 

Working inside and outside in all weather conditionsSorting, picking, processing and shearing metal piecesPreparing materials for shippingOperate a tow motorOther general labour duties will apply

QualificationsPrevious recycling experience is considered an assetMust be able to stand and walk for long periods of timeAbility to work in all weather conditionsMust be able to lift up-to 50lbsMust be able to work independently as well as in a team orientated environmentAbility to work in a loud, dusty environment

We Offer:

Full time hours with potential overtime, paid after 48 hoursSome mandatory overtime on Saturdays (based on company needs)Competitive wages, pension, benefits offered
