Minot, ND, USA | Hourly | 20.00-24.00 per hour DOE | Seasonal | 401K Match and Safety Bonus Summary of Position: Perform tasks involving physical labor with heavy construction projects or shop duties. May operate a variety of hand and power tools. May clean and prepare sites, dig trenches, and remove waste materials. May assist operators. Duties & Responsibilities: + Perform a variety of tasks involving strenuous manual labor in heavy/highway construction projects and/or oilfield projects. + Perform manual work in preparing surfaces, ditches, culverts or other areas. + Shovel dirt within construction area as defined by grade fill specifications given by foreman/operator. + Maintain a clean job site; pick up all tools and equipment and secure job site each day in order to eliminate potential hazards. + Load and unload material manually, haul and hoist materials (pipe, box culverts, supplies). + Shop maintenance duties when needed. + Flagging/Pilot Car for traffic control safety. + Other duties as assigned. Skills & Abilities and Physical Demands Required: + Basic knowledge of proper use of equipment, materials and supplies used in construction work. + Ability to work independently and complete daily activities according to work schedule. + Ability to lift heavy objects, walk and stand for long periods of time and perform strenuous physical labor under adverse field conditions. + Ability to use equipment and tools properly and safely. + Can follow and transmit written and oral instructions. + Responsible to meet attendance schedule with dependability and consistency. + Must have a valid Drivers License.
