General Laborer
Job Summary:

The Technician is responsible for handling, processing, and disposing of hazardous and non-hazardous waste materials in accordance with federal, state, and local regulations. This role supports environmental cleanup projects and ensures safe and efficient operations at waste treatment or remediation sites.

Key Responsibilities:Safely collect, sort, and process waste materials including chemicals, soil, and industrial byproducts.Operate equipment such as forklifts, pumps, and vacuum systems.Assist in site remediation activities including soil excavation, groundwater treatment, and spill response.Maintain accurate records of waste handling and disposal activities.Conduct routine inspections and ensure compliance with environmental safety standards.Wear and maintain proper personal protective equipment (PPE).Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet project goals and deadlines.Participate in safety meetings and training sessions.Qualifications:High school diploma or equivalent; technical training in environmental science or hazardous materials handling is a plus.Prior experience in waste management, environmental services, or industrial cleaning preferred.Ability to lift heavy objects and work in physically demanding environments.Familiarity with OSHA, EPA, and DOT regulations.Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.Work Environment:Outdoor and indoor industrial settings.Exposure to hazardous materials and varying weather conditions.Use of protective gear and adherence to strict safety protocols.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $17.00/hr.
