General Laborer Kingsland, GA 31548 Pay Rate: $17.75/hour Employment Type: Temp-to-Hire (Minimum 520 hours) Number of Positions Available: 10 Eligibility: Locals Only Interviews: Required via TEAMS Background Checks: Must clear drug screen and background check Security Requirement: Must obtain a "base access card" through the Navy (clean background) Citizenship Requirement: US Citizenship Required Key Responsibilities: As a General Laborer, you will play a vital role in supporting our construction team by performing a variety of physical labor tasks. Your primary responsibilities will include: + Executing physical labor duties, including digging, lifting, carrying, and moving materials. + Assisting skilled tradespeople such as carpenters, electricians, and plumbers in their daily tasks. + Operating basic tools and equipment, including drills, saws, and hammers, to complete job assignments safely and efficiently. + Maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the construction site to promote a safe work environment. + Loading and unloading construction materials and equipment as required. + Adhering to safety protocols and consistently wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE). + Supporting the setup and dismantling of temporary structures, scaffolding, and barricades. + Performing additional duties as assigned by supervisors or foremen. Qualifications: To be considered for this role, candidates should meet the following qualifications: + High school diploma or equivalent (preferred). + Prior experience in construction or general labor (preferred but not required). + Ability to perform physically demanding tasks and lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs). + Basic knowledge of construction tools and equipment. + Strong work ethic, reliability, and the ability to follow instructions effectively. + Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions. + Commitment to workplace safety and adherence to safety guidelines. Working Conditions: This position is performed on active construction sites.
