The Pallet Repair/Pallet Builder takes damaged pallets sent from our customers and returns them to service-ready condition, before consolidating and shipping them back to the customer.
Must be comfortable operating tools used to complete repairs, including but not limited to:
· Nail gun
· Manual & electric saws
· Hammer
· Wire brushes
· Pneumatic tools
Responsibilities and Expectations
· Must be accountable for achieving client results while maintaining Client core values and safety standards
· Ability to complete all production paperwork with accuracy
· Utilize appropriate tools and methods to return damaged pallets to service-ready condition
· Communicate effectively with Production Supervisors, Assistant Plant Manager, and Plant Manager
· Examine products after repairing to verify conformance to quality standards
· Ability to maintain Client efficiency and performance standards of production
· Must maintain a clean & safe working environment that meets client standards
· Repair the given number of pallets, once training is complete
· Expected to be able to work without constant supervision to achieve production quotas in the repair area, safely
· Stack pallets or materials in the correct manner, following inventory control instructions
· Check loads to make sure they are secure

· Requires quick hands, attention to detail, commitment to quality
· Observance of all safety rules and regulations
· Ability to communicate effectively
· Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where standardized requirements exist
· Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
· Excellent oral and written communication skills needed
Experience
· Demonstrated experience safely operating air-driven, electric, pneumatic, and manual woodworking tools
· Previous experience in welding, lumbering, construction, carpentry, or roofing is strongly preferred
