If you’re ready to make a meaningful impact in correctional medical programs, we want you on our team!** **What you’ll do:** You’ll perform a variety of routine clerical duties associated with health services in compliance with MTC Medical and various customer directives. **Essential Functions:** 1. Provide clerical support to mental health professionals and perform other duties as applicable. 2. Prepare correspondence, reports, and letters; proofread material to verify accuracy. 3. Maintain appropriate medical supplies as well as office supplies. 4. Log and distribute incoming mail, prepare outgoing mail, answer telephone, and convey messages. 5. Schedule appointments for medical providers. 6. Log medical restriction list. 7. Coordinate ACA, Chronic Care, and Infectious Disease documentation. 8. Maintain records and files. 9. Verify insurance and billing for hospitals, clinics, etc. 10. Coordinate, track, and schedule inmate medical consultations. 11. Attend staff meetings; promote communication and proper flow of relevant information between medical staff and correctional departments. 12. Regular and reliable onsite attendance is required. 13. Promote the development of positive social skills through modeling appropriate behaviors and intervening when inappropriate behaviors are observed; provide regular feedback to staff regarding social skills procedures and intervention techniques. 14. Maintain accountability of staff, inmates, and property; adhere to safety practices. **Education and Experience Requirements:** High school diploma or equivalent and one year varied and responsible clerical experience required.
