Join our dynamic, diverse team at Four Seasons Resort & Residences Whistler as a Full-Time General Cashier/Cost Accountant.
Our work environment pairs a strong commitment to excellent service and authentic experiences with an emphasis on creativity and innovation. Hourly Wage: $25.50 - $28.50
What you will do:
Maintain harmonious and professional relationships with all departments, Home Office, and operational teams.
Ensure compliance with Four Seasons’ Work Rules, Standards of Conduct, and all local and corporate policies and procedures related to Finance.
Oversee and reconcile all cash-handling activities, including daily cash tips and all funds received by the Front Desk.
Verify that all amounts collected by the Front Desk are accurately recorded and deposited in a timely manner.
Reconcile cash tips records, ensuring accuracy of the amounts distributed to employees.
Calculate and prepare daily cash reconciliation reports, matching final reports to actual cash on hand and deposits made.
Conduct monthly inventory tracking for F&B, Retail, and SPA; analyze discrepancies and ensure proper inventory turnover.
Organize and participate in quarterly spot checks for points of sale, SPA, and Boutique.
Maintain and update order guides and recipe/ingredient databases.
Produce and present monthly and ad-hoc cost analysis reports, including Menu Engineering, supplier performance, and price variation analysis.
Monitor food cost performance and communicate updates regularly to F&B leadership.
Analyze payroll and other operating expenses to support departmental profitability.
Collaborate with department heads to identify opportunities for revenue optimization and cost control.
Assist with preparation for internal audits and contribute to continuous improvement of financial procedures.
Handle finance-related documentation, including collection, scanning, and follow-up on missing paperwork, as needed.
Support the Finance Department in other accounting and administrative duties as required.
What you bring:
Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret financial data and make recommendations.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present reports clearly and facilitate discussions with various stakeholders.
High level of integrity, discretion, and ethical business conduct.
Strong interpersonal skills to work effectively with peers, superiors, and operational teams.
Exceptional attention to detail, accuracy, and organization.
Ability to work flexibly and adapt to periods of high activity.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and able to operate standard office equipment.
Working knowledge of inventory control systems and cost analysis tools (experience in hotel/restaurant industry a plus).
Commitment to safe, prudent, and organized work practices.
Curious and proactive, with a continuous improvement mindset.
Valid work authorization for Canada.

Schedule & Hours:
As our hotel is open 24/7, 365 days a year, we expect our General Cashier to be flexible in working mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
