Overview General/Camp Maintenance Technician The Yukon Flats Project is recruiting for its seasonal exploration program in Birch Creek, Alaska, running between June and October. The General Camp Maintenance Technician ensures the successful ongoing operations and maintenance of facilities and equipment in various locations. Responsible for communicating with operations and service providers to coordinate timely services and repairs. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Perform routine maintenance, preventative maintenance, and repairs on facilities and equipment as necessary. Respond to assigned work orders in a thorough and timely manner. Complete grounds maintenance to maintain safe camp area, which may include but is not limited to: mowing grass, removing brush, snow removal, etc. Maintain accurate records of outstanding, in-progress, and completed work. Coordinate with teams, contractors, and vendors to complete necessary repairs, maintenance, and order necessary parts. Respond to emergency calls for service including but not limited to: tent collapse, toilet overflows, power outages, fire alarms, etc. Complete minor electrical, plumbing, and HVAC repairs/projects. Keep Camp Steward apprised of any situations that may effect safety, environmental responsibility, or quality of life and work to develop appropriate solutions. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Experience performing maintenance in remote and austere locations. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Previous experience with HVAC, mechanical, and electrical systems. Self-starter with ability to make sound decisions under pressure. Experience assembling and maintaining tent camps.
