General Accountant / Income Auditor - Waldorf Astoria Doha West Bay
The General Accountant / Income Audit is Responsible for reviewing income reporting procedure of the resort to ensure they are established, satisfactory and adhere to policies and procedures, regulatory guidelines and practices\. + To provide assistance to the department heads to review the revenue data, income information and ensures that all the calculations and reported amount in the accounting record are accurate\. + To carry out various combination of tasks to check the accuracy of the postings, calculations and figures concerned with the business transactions\. + The income auditor work under the direction of a General Accountants Supervisor to assess procedures and internal controls in income reporting system\. + They ensure that the procedures are performed efficiently\. + Evaluating all income generating centers and making report for revenue journal on a daily basis as well as assessing and balancing all rebates activities\. + Verifying, monitoring, and reviewing all resort revenue reports and night audit reports\. Ensuring that daily revenues and settlements are in balance\. + On a daily basis, Income Auditor to prepare the revenue report from the PMS to each revenue source as listed below, sign\-off as evidence and resolve any discrepancies + Room sales, to the daily rooms revenue report + Food and Beverage sales, to the outlet sales POS summaries + Spa Sales to the outlet POS + 3rdparty / Concessionaires Other department sales \(including manual ones\), to relevant sales summaries\. + To perform any other duties given by the Finance department head and/or designates in relation to the revenue audit and its internal process\. **What are we looking for?** + Ability to analyze large volume of complex financial information from many sources and create reports, forecasts, and projections + Strong problem solving skills, including ability to effectively address any issue in collaboration with others as appropriate + Ability to proactively identify and prevent potential problems + Ability to help develop problem solving skills among direct reports and other team members as appropriate + Ability to take initiative to identify, prioritize and implement all elements required for team to fulfill responsibilities + Detail oriented and organized + Ability to develop presentations and effectively present to all levels of company, hotels & owners\. + Strong communication and negotiation skills \(all levels of management and external customers\) + Proficient in MS Excel, Word and Outlook with the ability to quickly learn new programs when required **What will it be like to work for Hilton?** Hilton is the leading global hospitality company, spanning the lodging sector from luxurious full\-service hotels and resorts to extended\-stay suites and mid\-priced hotels\.
