General Accountant / Income Auditor - Waldorf Astoria Doha West Bay

The General Accountant / Income Audit is Responsible for reviewing income reporting procedure of the resort to ensure they are established, satisfactory and adhere to policies and procedures, regulatory guidelines and practices.

\n\nTo provide assistance to the department heads to review the revenue data, income information and ensures that all the calculations and reported amount in the accounting record are accurate.\nTo carry out various combination of tasks to check the accuracy of the postings, calculations and figures concerned with the business transactions. \nThe income auditor work under the direction of a General Accountants Supervisor to assess procedures and internal controls in income reporting system.\nThey ensure that the procedures are performed efficiently.\nEvaluating all income generating centers and making report for revenue journal on a daily basis as well as assessing and balancing all rebates activities. \nVerifying, monitoring, and reviewing all resort revenue reports and night audit reports. Ensuring that daily revenues and settlements are in balance.\n         On a daily basis, Income Auditor to prepare the revenue report from the PMS to each revenue source as listed below, sign-off as evidence and resolve any discrepancies\nRoom sales, to the daily rooms revenue report\nFood and Beverage sales, to the outlet sales POS summaries\nSpa Sales to the outlet POS\n3rd party / Concessionaires Other department sales (including manual ones), to relevant sales summaries.   \nTo perform any other duties given by the Finance department head and/or designates in relation to the revenue audit and its internal process.\n

\n\nAbility to analyze large volume of complex financial information from many sources and create reports, forecasts, and projections\nStrong problem solving skills, including ability to effectively address any issue in collaboration with others as appropriate\nAbility to proactively identify and prevent potential problems\nAbility to help develop problem solving skills among direct reports and other team members as appropriate\nAbility to take initiative to identify, prioritize and implement all elements required for team to fulfill responsibilities\nDetail oriented and organized\nAbility to develop presentations and effectively present to all levels of company, hotels & owners.\nStrong communication and negotiation skills (all levels of management and external customers)\nProficient in MS Excel, Word and Outlook with the ability to quickly learn new programs when required\n\n
