AWS is looking for a motivated Learning Experience Designer who possesses a unique balance of technical depth, business knowledge, and strong interpersonal skills. You will partner with several AWS teams to provide training and enablement to educate AWS field sales teams on Generative AI and have the opportunity to help shape and execute a strategy for new educational content, services, and features.

The ideal candidate is an innovative, driven, problem-solving Learning Experience Designer with experience working across multiple instructional delivery modalities to create high-quality learning experiences that support field sales teams. The role requires an individual who is knowledgeable in adult learning and instructional design strategies for performance-based outcomes, can innovate, move quickly, and isn't constrained by traditional methods.

The candidate should be motivated to study, share, collaborate, and discuss subjects related to learning experience design, such as cognitive psychology, instructional theory, performance improvement, design thinking, user experience, visual communication, user interface design, mobile design, video production, and writing. You should possess the ability to create exciting, engaging, and excellent instructional design while working seamlessly with stakeholders to ensure project success.


Key job responsibilities
• Be the voice of the learner, ensuring their needs are at the forefront of our content efforts; develop new content; iterate and improve existing content
• Lead projects through the design lifecycle from scoping, research and analysis, design, development, and launch; provide clear timelines through all phases, communicate with key partners, and select appropriate measurements for successful implementation
• Identify learning objectives, assess learners, define performance outcomes, and evaluate instruction delivery strategies, including consulting with program owners and subject matter experts to identify performance gaps and learning objectives
• Develop instructional materials (tutorials, digital interactives, user guides, scripts, storyboards, navigational text, tests, etc.) that transform information into engaging content
• Collaborate on learning design projects, enlisting subject matter experts to produce and publish technical content
• Understand related fields—usability and experience design, information design, communications, and new technologies
• Be conversant with the ADDIE instructional design model, preferably with SADL experience
• Conduct Performance Needs Analysis
• Liaise with stakeholders to understand their performance gaps and provide concise advice on training solutions
• Monitor project status
