Gen AI Data Engineer
**CTG is seeking to fill a Gen AI Data Engineer opening for our client in Whippany, NJ.** **Location:** Whippany, NJ **Duration:** 12 Months **Duties:** + Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines to support Generative AI and LLM-based applications + Collaborate with data scientists, machine learning engineers, and software developers to support AI/ML model training and deployment + Integrate large language models (LLMs) into existing workflows and applications + Develop and deploy APIs (e.g., FastAPI) to serve AI-driven services + Utilize AWS services such as Lambda, Glue, and StreamList to build and manage serverless data processing frameworks + Ensure high availability, performance, and security of data infrastructure + Document processes, models, and workflows for ongoing support and scalability **Skills:** + Proficiency in working with Generative AI tools and frameworks + Strong understanding and experience in handling LLM (Large Language Model) integration and support + Advanced expertise in AWS services including Lambda, Glue, StreamList, S3, and related data services + Hands-on experience with FastAPI for building and deploying scalable APIs + Solid background in Python and SQL; familiarity with data pipeline tools and ETL frameworks + Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or in a collaborative team environment **Experience:** + Proven experience as a Data Engineer supporting Gen AI/LLM-based projects + Demonstrated ability to build, test, and optimize data workflows supporting machine learning applications + Experience working in cloud-based environments, preferably AWS, to build scalable data solutions **Education:** + Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required. The expected base salary for this position ranges from $96,000 to $105,000. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, market factors, and where applicable, licensure or certifications obtained.
