CGI has an immediate need for a Gen AI Architect to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced team environment supporting one of the largest customers. This role is located at a client site in Reston, VA. A hybrid working model is acceptable.

The Gen AI Architect plays a pivotal role in designing and implementing technology solutions across Finance Systems Transformation (FST) portfolios, including both strategic initiatives and business-as-usual support. This role involves translating functional requirements into scalable architectural designs, supporting data science initiatives, and ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture standards.
The architect will collaborate closely with internal teams and clients, serving as the primary technical contact. Responsibilities include evaluating solution alternatives, prototyping, preparing functional specifications, estimating project efforts, and transitioning completed projects to support teams. The role demands a strong blend of technical expertise, strategic thinking, and client-facing communication.
• Proven experience in solution architecture across finance-related systems and portfolios.
• Strong understanding of systems thinking and enterprise architecture principles.
• Hands-on experience with Generative AI, AI/ML, and data engineering tools and frameworks.
• Ability to translate business requirements into technical designs and blueprints.
• Skilled in application architecture for platforms such as MRP and FTP.
• Excellent communication skills to articulate solutions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience in functional specification writing and project estimation.
• Ability to prototype and evaluate multiple solution approaches.
• Strong collaboration skills with cross-functional teams and clients.
• Experience transitioning projects to support and maintenance teams.
• Professional certifications in architecture, cloud platforms, or data science (preferred).
• Minimum 15 years of progressive experience in software systems design, development, and integration.
• Prior experience in web application development is essential.
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.

The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and licensure and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit-based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $125,500.00 - $172,500.00.
