Job Title: GEHO Technical Field Advisor
Division: Weir Minerals
Location: Philippines / Coral Bay Nickel
Purpose of Role:
Technical Field Advisor based permanently on-site at the Coral Bay Nickel (CBNC) Site and an exclusivity to supply all required (GEHO).
The Technical Field Advisor will:
Supervise and perform mechanical and electrical maintenance on the GEHO Autoclave Feed Pumps, including couplings, gearboxes, motors, controls, etc. The position would also provide technical support to the customer on operational issues or problems with the pumps.
Provide on-site management of the consignment stock in terms withdrawals, replenishments, proper stock keeping, monitoring of stock levels, etc,
Provide regular reports to both WMA regarding the actual status of the equipment, the consignment stock as well as consumption levels of spare parts.
Create a relationship with through face-to-face contact, fostering trust, reliability and strength through knowledge of the Weir Minerals products

Responsibility for total compliance to customer’s on site Safety policies and procedures
Project Management – provides directions, instructions, suggestions and training to the maintenance teams, without being their hierarchical leader
Commercial & Financial – Understands the Service Level Agreement, its objectives, contractual and financial requirements.
Environment - Assess all risks with team to ensure delivery is accomplished in accordance with policy and procedures utilizing both company and customers systems to ensure delivery without incident
Quality - Ensure delivery of project outcomes to procedures, standards and specification of OE documentation
Technical Delivery - Manage all project tasks to deliver activities/outcomes for equipment to be available for full operational service
Job Knowledge/Education and Qualifications:
Education and/or Experience: Qualified mechanical engineer under Philippines law. Experience in maintenance of mining equipment (mechanical, electrical and controls) of not less than ten (10) years and supervisory experience not less than five (5) years
Language Skills: English verbal and written, as well as, ability to interpret Technical Standards, Procedures, Policies and Instructions Manuals. Ability to author detailed technical computer-generated reports cross referenced to technical standards. Ability to thoroughly understand, interpret drawing assemblies, detail and dimensions and communicate interpretations to direct reports
Computer Skills: general computer skills, skills to contribute to author and produce technical reports in Microsoft Word and Excel spreadsheet calculations and quotations, preferably working experience with ERP. MRP SAP experience would be an advantage
Work Environment: Residential Position. Permanently located on site CBNC on rotational basis, in tropical climate, utilizing site specific Personal Protective Equipment. Available for emergency telephone calls during rest days and during leave periods and working up to fourteen (14) hour shifts (occasionally only). Standard roster is 2 months working 8 hours per day, Monday to Saturday with each Sunday off, then 2 weeks rostered break. The workdays and days off may be adjusted slightly from time to time to fit in with the company and customers' requirements.
