**Job Summary**
At the Core Fitness desk, Attendants are responsible for the supervision of the fitness areas to ensure that a safe and enjoyable environment is maintained.
Gear Central Attendants’ responsibilities include checking out equipment, locker issue, team member uniforms, product sales, laundry operations and being aware of events held in the facility.
Working at the Core Fitness desk, the responsibility of the Fitness Center Attendant is to provide excellent service to Campus Recreation Services guests.
Campus Recreation Services is located at the George S. Eccles Student Life Center, which connects student Life with academic life to create an engaged campus community. Amenities include a 50-meter pool, indoor and outdoor leisure pools, large indoor hot tub/spa, 320-yard indoor running track, bouldering and 4-story climbing wall, 5 sport courts, racquetball courts, 4 group fitness studios, and a combative room. Additional amenities include a branch of the U First Credit Union, Shake Smart, four sand volleyball courts and an outdoor basketball court.

**Responsibilities**
**Job Responsibilities:**
+ Greeting members and guests as they approach the desk
+ Answering questions on the phone and in person
+ Collecting and logging in lost and found items
+ Maintaining current knowledge of policies, procedures and events in the facility
+ Laundering towels, uniforms and other items
+ Issuing uniforms, name tags and radios to Team members
+ Enforcing guidelines and policies
* Responsible for equipment inventory
+ Credit card and cash handling
+ Merchandise sales, displays and inventory
+ Balance cash drawers
+ Greet guests and assist them as necessary
+ Answer questions or direct guests to the Campus Recreation Services staff that is able to do so Provide a clean and safe environment for guests including floor spaces and track area
+ Clean, sanitize and disinfect all strength/cardio equipment
+ Report maintenance or custodial concerns to your supervisor in a timely manner
+ Monitor proper use of equipment
+ Maintain daily participant statistics
+ Enforcement of Fitness Center and CRS policies and procedures
