Description Required Skills & Experience - Strong expertise with GitHub and GitHub Enterprise. - Experience with GitHub org configuration, security, and permissions. - Familiarity with platform engineering practices. - Proven experience in process, policy, and migration planning. - Strong documentation and communication skills. - Experience in user support and training. - Proficiency in scripting and automation (Python, Shell, GitHub Actions). - Experience with Tekton and Infrastructure as Code (IaC). - GCP tools experience: Cloud Run, GKE. - Ability to work collaboratively across multiple teams. Preferred Qualifications - Experience implementing GitHub in GCP environments. + Cloud/DevOps Engineering with GitHub Enterprise adoption. - Familiarity with large-scale platform organization and compliance practices. Additional Skills & Qualifications GitHub Configuration & Integration - Set up and configure the new GitHub organization. - Configure repositories, branch protections, webhooks, and integrations. - Enforce security best practices (e.g., two-factor authentication). EPEO Rollout & Implementation - Research and analyze Enterprise Platform Engineering Operations (EPEO) best practices. - Recommend EPEO-aligned strategies for GitHub implementation. - Collaborate with internal platform engineering teams. Process, Policy & Migration Planning - Define and document usage policies, code review processes, and access controls. - Develop configuration and migration strategies. - Identify teams and repositories for migration and create detailed plans. Roles & Permissions Management - Design and implement roles, teams, and permission models. - Align roles with security and operational requirements. - Conduct permission audits during and post-migration. Reporting & Documentation - Generate reports on usage, access, compliance, and migration progress. - Provide actionable insights and maintain comprehensive documentation. - Create runbooks, playbooks, and user-facing guides. User Support - Provide support via email, chat, and office hours. - Assist with onboarding and troubleshooting. - Communicate changes and updates clearly to users. Automation Support - Identify and implement automation opportunities. - Develop scripts and tools (e.g., GitHub Actions, Tekton pipelines). - Maintain and enhance automation solutions. Experience Level Expert Level Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $70.00 - $70.00/hr.
