The Global Corporate Banking (CBK) business, which is part of GCIB, delivers credit, financing, cash management, payments and risk management solutions to more than 2,200 multi-national corporations around the world. The Corporate Banking Subsidiaries (CBK-S) group supports the global banking needs of multinational clients (MNCs) outside of their home markets. **Job Overview** The CBK COO Corporate Banking Subsidiaries Lead (COO CBK-S Lead) partners closely with and works directly for the Global CBK COO. Together, they serve as strategic advisors to the Global CBK-S Business Head and CBK-S leadership team, focused on driving productivity and initiatives to help lead and manage their global business. Some key areas of focus include business strategy and planning, senior management presentations, client franchise analyses, business and banker performance measurement, competitor benchmarking, client information systems development/enhancements, internal and external communications, business initiatives, and management of some administrative functions. The role will involve significant exposure to the Front Office, and extensive interaction with senior management and partnering support functions. **Key responsibilities of the COO CBK-S Lead include:** + Act as primary CBK COO partner for the Global CBK-S Business Head and the CBK-S leadership team + Lead CBK-S strategic initiatives and act as strategic resource and partner for the CBK-S business as well as product and support partners, as applicable + Formulate, measure and track KPIs to support the business + Represent CBK-S in efforts with Global CBK COO and CBK COO Regional Heads related to global team planning and management, including management presentations and meetings, client coverage, banker/team performance processes, training, events, communications and other areas + As needed, support management of CBK-S administrative and related business support areas for the US CBK-S team, including but not limited to expense related items, travel approvals, employee onboarding/offboarding, client event tickets, and compliance routines + Coordinate as needed to support audit and regulatory efforts + Partner with key control and support functions, e.g. Business Selection & Conflicts, Business Controls, Compliance, Finance, Credit, Risk, Legal, HR and Technology, as required **Qualifications** Seeking an ambitious, independent, and hardworking candidate with an interest in Corporate Banking. An ideal candidate would have 5+ years of financial, operations, and general business support experience in the corporate & investment banking business, though lack of experience within GCIB is not a barrier to a candidate who proves willing to put in the effort to learn quickly. A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.Some financial background would be helpful. Intermediate to advanced Excel and PowerPoint experience is essential in the role. Candidates must demonstrate a combination of business aptitude, quantitative skills and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
