$57,200 - $76,300

Multiple factors, including Individual experience, skills and abilities will determine where an employee is ultimately placed in the pay range.

The Job You Will Perform:

The Global Cellulose Fibers, Business Analyst – Chemicals & Energy provides research and analytical support for category management teams and ongoing department initiatives. Responsibilities include obtaining and managing data from a variety of sources, including IP systems, market indices, S&P Market Intelligence, Argus Media and a broad array of other data sources. The business analyst works in concert with category management teams and other business stakeholder groups to gain greater insight into market conditions, identify cost savings or market-based value opportunities and prepare materials as necessary to communicate weekly, monthly, quarterly, annual results and forecasts for our manufacturing locations regarding our chemicals, energy and decarbonization execution strategy. In addition, this role includes data program management of our renewable energy attributes. This role requires strong technical written and oral communication skills.

This position reports to the Chemical & Energy Supply Director.

Extracting internal historical expenditure information through SAP R/3, Business Warehouse, and other databases in support of category analysis by mill, plant and/or business.

 

Key Accountabilities:

Assisting with data management and internal and external reporting to the chemicals & energy team and other stakeholders as appropriate Preparing and presenting spreadsheets, summaries, and graphical analyses Researching market indices, supplier information, and current events that influence chemical & energy market performance and guide business energy strategy. Being an integral part of all cross functional teams that require information on energy related topics. These include, but are not limited to, Finance and Accounting teams, other sourcing teams where energy components influence

their category results, technology and capital planning for energy forecast results.

Serve as the primary liaison for chemicals & energy market information services, analysis and planning Support data analytics and access which facilitate agile decision making by our manufacturing sites Continue to look for opportunities to simplify, improve work processes to yield improved over all business results Support data analytics for our Decarbonization efforts. This could include supporting analysis of renewable energy technologies in energy markets now and in the future as well as business strategies to support customer needs.

 

The Qualifications, Skills and Knowledge You Will Bring:

Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Industrial Management, Business, Accounting, Finance or Economics preferred. Experience in data collection, entry, management and analysis and charting. Experience in Microsoft Office and Power BI.
