Job Title: Clerk
Job Description

This role involves engaging with truck drivers picking up cargo from the facility, ensuring accurate load verification, providing necessary terminal information, and closing out outbound gate transactions. The position requires the operation of truck scale software and navigation of the Terminal Operating System for truck check-in and check-out procedures. The clerk will also monitor an email account for customer orders and corporate communications, working independently in the absence of direct supervision, and providing optimal customer service at all times.

ResponsibilitiesInteract with truck drivers to accurately identify required pickup information.Provide corresponding terminal information including loading paperwork and cargo location.Close out outbound gate transactions after trucks are loaded.Operate truck scale software as needed based on cargo type.Navigate and operate the Terminal Operating System for truck check-in/check-out tasks.Monitor email account for customer orders and changes to the daily truck schedule.Work independently without supervision.Provide excellent customer service consistently.Work additional weekday hours and weekends as required.Work extended hours during adverse weather conditions.Essential SkillsProficient in data entry.Strong attention to detail.Excellent customer service skills.Good computer skills.Additional Skills & QualificationsAbility to work extended hours during inclement weather.Work Environment

The position is based in a corporate setting but will be in a trailer. Work hours are from 8:30 AM to 5 PM, with the possibility of overtime until 6 PM. The role may require additional weekday hours and weekend work, especially during busy periods.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
