Gas Planning and Compliance Engineer
Job Description The Gas Planning and Compliance Engineer supports the safe, reliable, and sustainable operation of or clients' natural gas distribution system. This position is responsible for hydraulic modeling, capacity planning, regulatory compliance, and technical support for field operations. The engineer works cross-functionally to deliver data-driven outcomes that ensure compliance, optimize performance, and support our clients long-term energy goals, including renewable natural gas (RNG) integration. Skills and Requirements Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related field from an ABET-accredited university. Minimum of five years of relevant experience in gas utility engineering. Proficient in Gas Works or Synergi Gas or equivalent modeling software. Experience with GIS (ArcGIS), SQL-based systems, Power BI, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office. Analytical and Strategic Thinking Strong problem-solving skills to assess data and recommend risk-informed, cost-effective solutions.
