FWS Student Worker III, Off Campus (Information Technology Assistant)

The Institute for Healing Racial Trauma (IHRT) is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to provide a holistic counseling that addresses the therapeutic, cultural, and educational needs of those we serve. We aim to raise awareness of the needs of the community, the benefits of mental health treatment, as well as aid in the decrease of the stigmatization for those who receive mental health services. IHRT is the sister company of The Relationship Clinic (TRC) who provide mental health services, education and training, coaching, and consulting.

 

Our organization is looking for a skilled intern to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for helping us maintain and improve our technology-related practices. Much of your time will be spent collaborating with our team. You utilize a variety of technology services to include: website, electronic communication methods, and an electronic health records system. You would be asked to help us ensure we are utilizing these means in the most productive manner as well as troubleshoot errors.

 

To be successful, a work study candidate needs to be proactive about starting their own work and asking questions. They should also be personable and have strong communication skills. If you believe that you have these qualifications, we’d love to encourage you to apply.

Assist with website design and creation. Procedure creation related to technology services our team utilizes. Perform a variety of information technology support duties to ensure smooth delivery of technology services. Monitor, operate, or coordinate and assist others in operation of computer hardware, software, and peripherals in order to achieve desired results.

*This position has the possibility of turning into a permanent position.

Below are the minimum requirements of the education, experience, knowledge, and skills required to competently perform in this position. Must be an enrolled student. High School diploma or equivalent. Must be a current student in good standing and possess a GPA of 2.0 or higher. Must be enrolled in a minimum of six credits per semester. FWS fund eligible. Excellent written and verbal communication skills Self-directed, motivated individuals. People who sit around, waiting to be told what to do will not do well in this environment.
