FVP, Corp Disbursements
Job Overview Responsible for the development and oversight of corporate disbursements teams. Primary business owner of Oracle ERP vendor management process and external compliance reporting. Partner with business partners to develop and report on KPI’s associated with overall productivity, quality, and timeliness of established goals. Partner with other Finance and Accounting leaders to develop the unit’s vision, strategy and objectives. Delegates responsibilities to managers and supervisors as appropriate, and ensures department operational activities are carried out in accordance with established policies, procedures and regulatory requirements. Provide oversight for disbursement process assuring that systems, controls, policies and procedures are in place and are executed to assure an efficient and effective accounting and finance operation. A Typical Day Own corporate disbursements, including establishing systematic workflows of vendor master setup/maintenance, payment processing, and associated reporting Maintain internal/external client relationships, to ensure timeliness of payments, optimum efficiencies and account reconciliation status Advance understanding of disbursements methods, financial systems, accounting, and treasury functions Strong knowledge of internal controls and procedures to safeguard company assets Evaluate, develop and maintain disbursement policies, procedures, KPI’s and related systems Identify opportunities for automated efficiency and procedural enhancements through technology solutions Support general accounting responsibilities, including analysis, trends, and adjustment of accruals related to disbursements by preparing general ledger entries as appropriate Maintain confidentially of sensitive financial information related to disbursements Reviews monthly disbursement reports to support general ledger close, e.g. aging reports Facilitate disbursement audit requests from internal and external auditors Communicate effectively and collaboratively with departments, external service providers and business partners to find solutions to disbursement escalations Perform other related duties as required and assigned Demonstrate behaviors which are aligned with the organization’s desired culture and values What You’ll Bring 4-year Accounting, Finance or Business degree, preferred Minimum 4 years in a leadership position Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) Must be highly proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including, Excel, Word, & PowerPoint Accounting software knowledge, Oracle Cloud Fusion preferred Must be current with relevant regulations and compliance issues relatd to disbursements Must be a team player with strong attention to detail and able to work independently Proven track record at delivering timely and accurate information in a fast-paced environment Excellent critical thinking, problem solving, mathematical skills and sound judgment Financial Services and, if possible, mortgage industry experience a plus Strong business acumen and ability to interface with executive management Salary $110,000 - $170,000 Work Model OFFICE
