Futures Technology is a global team providing technology services to the HSBC Futures business. The team is managing multiple Listed Derivatives e-Trading platforms, delivering key client, and regulatory/exchange driven projects – helping our global business and its customers to succeed.
Using Agile and DevOps principles is critical for us to deliver business value, with continuous improvement and learning at the centre of everything we do. We strive to engineer performant, scalable, and reliable systems that enable our business to grow clients and revenue. We care about implementing working agile, hand-in-hand with our business partners to realize their goals whilst maintaining technical excellence.
The Futures technology team manage and maintain a combination of external vendor platforms and internally developed systems. The eTrading platforms cover all areas of eTrading, from client order entry, Algorithmic trading, through the order messages on global exchanges, Pre Post Trade Risk and Allocation services.
The team spans the 4 main trading hubs (Hong Kong, New York, London, Chicago), with team members in Six locations (Guangzhou, Hong Kong, New York, Chicago London and Krakow).
Our team values engineers with a growth mindset who love to learn new things, who are curious, whether that be learning about what our traders are doing or making technical improvements to our systems. We are hungry for diverse ideas and encourage our engineers to challenge the status quo and guide our technology choices as opposed to simply wanting to follow. Technology is an everchanging landscape, so we want full-stack DevOps engineers that enjoy working across technologies.
