Functional Safety Engineer
Functional Safety Engineer--- Contractor Safety Manager (EHS)

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) professional to lead and manage contractor safety across all global sites. This role is responsible for ensuring that all contractors working on-site adhere to both their own safety policies and the company’s established safety protocols. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in EHS, facilities management, and contractor oversight, with a focus on modifying existing infrastructure rather than new construction.

Key Responsibilities:

Own and manage the global contractor safety program across all company sites.Ensure all contractors comply with both internal safety policies and their own organizational safety standards.Conduct gap analyses of the existing contractor safety program and implement updates as needed.Act as the developer, executor, and verifier of the contractor safety program.Collaborate with third-party facilities management providers to ensure safety compliance during infrastructure modifications.Monitor and enforce safety protocols for all on-site work, ensuring alignment with local and international regulations.Maintain a strong understanding of EHS regulations across different countries and adapt safety practices accordingly.Provide oversight and guidance to ensure safe execution of work on existing buildings and infrastructure.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, Occupational Health & Safety, or a related field.Proven experience in EHS roles, particularly in contractor safety management.Background in facilities management or experience as a contractor is highly desirable.Strong knowledge of international EHS regulations and compliance requirements.Excellent communication and organizational skills.Ability to work cross-functionally with internal teams and external vendors.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $60.00 - $70.00/hr.
