The Functional Lead - Workday Financials is a highly visible role within USAP’s corporate finance team. The individual will be responsible for overseeing the Workday Financials and related auxiliary systems, ensuring alignment with the needs of the Accounting department. This role will manage system configuration, reporting, and process optimization to support financial operations. They will also collaborate with cross-functional contributors to the Workday system to ensure knowledge of all changes to the environment (Security, Account Posting Rules (APR) changes, Business Processes (BP) updates/changes, reporting writing experts). The Analyst will also work cross-functionally with Payroll and Human Capital Management (HCM) Workday teams to coordinate and implement staffing changes with the system. In addition, the Analyst will drive continuous improvement in system-related workflows.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Act as the primary subject matter expert for Workday Financials modules, including Core Financials, Financial Accounting, Reporting, and Budgeting/Forecasting.Administer and maintain the Workday Financials system, including FDM, Customer/Supplier Accounts, Banking, Budgets, Expenses, and Procurement modules.Configure Workday Financials, manage business processes, and lead functional testing for new features and enhancements.Lead configuration, testing, and deployment of new Workday Financials features and enhancementsServe as the primary liaison between internal stakeholders and external Workday consultantsOversee Workday tenant management including administrative duties including tenant renewals, tenant refreshes, support case tracking, and trainingManaging configuration processes functionally, assisting in leading configuration.Develop and maintain custom Workday reports including a sunset process for outdated/unused reports to keep environment clean Identify and implement workaround solutions to address system limitations and improve functionality.Provide training and support to staff members using Workday Financial Systems. Troubleshoot and resolve system issues. Maintain and create new custom reports to assist end users needs Ensure financial systems are secure and comply with relevant laws and regulationsWork closely with IT, finance, and operations departments to ensure financial systems are integrated with other business systemsSupport the monthly close process from system sideParticipate in the development and maintenance of the Company’s accounting policies and internal control documentation around the Workday systemPerform system maintenance, monitoring, business continuity, and problem resolution for the Workday financial systems environment. Perform needed implementation, upgrades, functional, and technical maintenance of Workday financial systems applications Manage or participate in special projects as neededPerform other duties as assigned/requested

JOB SPECIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting and 3-5 years’ experience with Workday FinancialsImplementation and post-production experience – one required both preferred“Workaround” solutions experience requiredExposure to Healthcare industry preferredAccounting in general - helpful and useful for report building and concept buildingProficiency Microsoft Office Suite
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
