Activities: * Assist in triaging and resolving AWS Security Hub findings. * Support the team in addressing SAST findings from Sonarqube. * Help in analyzing and mitigating vulnerabilities identified by DependencyTrack. * Participate in resolving DAST findings from web application scans. * Conduct system testing and create unit tests for new and existing features. * Document technical requirements and system architecture. **Your role and responsibilities** As an entry level Application Developer at IBM, you'll work with clients to co-create solutions to major real-world challenges by using best practice technologies, tools, techniques, and products to translate system requirements into the design and development of customized systems. In your role, you may be responsible for: * Working across the entire system architecture to design, develop, and support high quality, scalable products and interfaces for our clients * Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and define technical specifications for generative AI projects * Employing IBM's Design Thinking to create products that provide a great user experience along with high performance, security, quality, and stability * Working with a variety of relational databases (SQL, Postgres, DB2, MongoDB), operating systems (Linux, Windows, iOS, Android), and modern UI frameworks (Backbone.js, AngularJS, React, Ember.js, Bootstrap, and JQuery) * Creating everything from mockups and UI components to algorithms and data structures as you deliver a viable productAs a Software Developer you'll participate in many aspects of the software development lifecycle, such as design, code implementation, testing, and support. You will create software that enables your clients' hybrid-cloud and AI journeys. Your primary responsibilities include: * Visionary Software Infrastructure Design and Development: Envision, design, and build the Software infrastructure that keeps the solutions running. * Innovative Problem Solving for Efficient Solutions: Challenge ideas, identify problems and create efficient solutions. * Flexible, Maintainable, and Scalable Application Components: Develop flexible, maintainable, and scalable application components. * Leading Technological Innovation through Collaboration: Collaborate with development peers and lead the way staying up to date with tools and technology trends. **Required technical and professional expertise** * Familiarity with one or more programing languages, such as Python and/or JavaScript * Experience with Vue, Angular, and React frameworks (all three frameworks). * Understanding of dynamic code analysis and web application security. **Preferred technical and professional experience** * Familiarity with static code analysis tools like SonarQube. * Basic knowledge of software composition analysis tools like Dependency Track. * Basic understanding of cloud computing, primarily AWS. * Familiarize with dependency management, understanding of software vulnerabilities, and experience with tools like GitHub for tracking and managing vulnerabilities. * Specific knowledge of handling vulnerabilities in components such as h11, setuptools, and axios would be beneficial.
