What you'll do…

Perform Full-Vehicle NVH Simulations Execute full vehicle-level NVH analyses for road, motor and thermal system loads for noise and vibrations including mode map and full vehicle sensitivity. Build and Maintain CAE NVH Models Develop high-fidelity finite element (FE) and boundary element (BE) models of body structures, trimmed bodies, and full vehicles using Altair Hyperworks and ANSA. Post-Processing and Root Cause Analysis Analyze modal, FRF, and acoustic response results to identify noise/vibration contributors and propose design changes. Create animations, frequency response plots, and mode shape visualizations to explain vehicle NVH behavior.
NVH Issue Identification and Countermeasure Development Identify root causes of NVH issues and develop design countermeasures, damping strategies, or isolation solutions using simulation-led evaluations. Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams Work closely with body design, powertrain, chassis, and system-level teams to optimize component and system-level NVH.
Provide guidance to CAD and test teams for model updates and validation plans. Prototype Support and Evaluation Support prototype vehicle builds by ensuring NVH requirements are incorporated and validated virtually before physical tests. Propose early-stage improvements for concept vehicles and monitor NVH performance during prototype evaluations. Conduct Design Optimization and Trade-Off Studies Apply DOE, DFSS, and optimization tools to balance NVH performance against weight, cost, and packaging constraints. Standardization and Process Development Develop and document standard operating procedures (SOPs) for full vehicle NVH modeling and simulation practices. Contribute to the creation of best-practice libraries for reuse across multiple programs and platforms. Design Reviews and Communication Present NVH analysis results in design reviews and program meetings. Translate complex simulation findings into actionable insights and recommend design changes to improve vehicle-level NVH.
