We are currently seeking a Palliative Regional Admissions Coordinator in the Temecula area who shares our passion for providing dignified, compassionate end-of-life care. This person will be covering the Temecula, Murrieta, Hemet, Riverside, Encinitas, Fallbrook, San Marcos areas.

Shift Schedule: Full Time, AM shift, Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Qualifications: 

High school diploma Some college courses related to business administration preferred One year experience dealing with the public via telephone or in person, preferably in a customer service or inside sales role This role requires a valid driver’s license and a good driving record as a condition of employment. Associates must comply with all state and federal driving regulations Associates in roles requiring driving are responsible for maintaining a valid and active driver’s license. Failure to maintain a valid license may result in reassignment, suspension, or termination in accordance with company policies and applicable laws Typing 50 words per minute, managing records/files, basic computer skills (i.e. Forms, Labels, Excel and Word) Prior hospice or palliative supportive care experience strongly preferred

What you'll be doing:

Data entry, including keeping all admission tracking logs up to date Overcomes initial objections to hospice services and palliative and supportive care General admission coordination, including coordinating hospital discharges Manages the insurance verification and authorization process Schedules appropriate staff to meet with patient/families to discuss hospice and supportive care services in a timely manner Participate in related meetings Ensure all intake documents are completed per policy Exhibits empathetic communication style with patients, families, and associates, requiring the ability to remain calm and level-headed in emergencies Other duties as assigned
