Principal Responsibilities

In Corporate and Institutional Banking (CIB) Client Services we are building inhouse solutions to support the onboarding and KYC activities of our customers. Currently, we are building client facing applications for users to manage their activities with HSBC and orchestration capabilities to reduce the time it takes for clients and staff to complete these activities. In this role, you will be driving engineering excellence across a global team to transform both the culture and the technology across our KYC applications.

In this role you will

Work closely with the CIB Client Services Engineering Leadership team, leading the engineering transformation across our Customer Due Diligence applicationDesign and building solutions using microservice architecture, working closely with the product team to understand requirements and impact of changes being madeLead by example, delivering solutions at high cadence for the build out of both new functionality and the replacement of legacy systems whilst also supporting other teams to achieve the sameWork to release change to production every day, owning requirements through discussions with the business through to development, testing, release to and support of productionPromote engineering excellence and the development of a strong engineering culture across our teams – influencing behaviours and removing barriers within the teams
