About the teamThe Privacy and Data Protection team is dedicated to ensuring that users' data is handled responsibly and securely, thereby fostering trust in Stripe's Privacy and Security practices. Stripe will succeed at our mission of increasing the GDP of the internet only if we prove ourselves worthy of our users’ trust. We build application & infrastructure solutions into Stripe’s Data Platform so that data protection guarantees are always on by default. We do this by targeting application & infrastructure layer protections to abstract complexity, and provide intuitive, out-of-the box solutions for common concerns, enabling teams to integrate quickly and get on with their work. This team will work closely with various engineering and cross-functional teams across Stripe to achieve our objectives.
What you’ll doWe’re looking for an engineer who is passionate about building engineering solutions for privacy and security governance of large scale data. This role is critical for Stripe business and for the future of internet-enabled commerce.
Responsibilities Design and build services and frameworks and tooling used by all of Stripe’s engineering teams to provide privacy and security controls on our data. Build solutions that can be either centrally applied or used by other teams to improve the privacy and security postures of their datasets. Create new ways for Stripe to safely interact with data as new opportunities arise, for example the safe usage of agentic AI. Collaborate with our users and cross-functional partners to improve on these systems.Who you are
