CTG's long-standing Fortune 500 client of over 15 years has a W2 contract assignment for a Full Stack Developer. Type: Contract Job Title: Full Stack Developer Location: Remote (on-site work optional) Pay Rate: $42.80 – $55.15/hour Work Hours: M–F 8am–5pm Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent work experience Description This position is in the Model Operations and Deployment Engineering group within the client’s research division. In this role, you will develop software that assists scientists in making the next materials breakthrough. You will be involved in both large-scale internal infrastructure projects and smaller collaborative efforts with scientists. Our development group emphasizes high-quality software without imposing on-call requirements. The position can be performed remotely if preferred. Scope of Position • Contribute to both individual and team-based software development projects • Collaborate with scientists and developers to define project specifications • Research and explore new technologies as part of the innovation process Requirements Programming Skills – 5+ years Frontend Development • Experience with modern JavaScript frameworks, with preference for Vue 3 (Angular or React also acceptable) • Familiarity with UI/UX design tools (e.g., Figma) and translating designs into functional interfaces Backend Development • Experience with Python-based web frameworks such as Django or Flask • Proficient in API development and integration • Database development and management: • Selecting appropriate database technologies (relational vs. non-relational) • Efficient table structure design • Strong SQL skills • Experience with PostgreSQL preferred; Oracle experience a plus Team Skills • Experience mentoring junior developers • Comfortable collaborating with UI/UX design and QA teams Required Qualifications Education • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent work experience Qualifications • Desire to learn and explore new technologies • Familiarity with Python data visualization tools (D3.js, Bokeh, matplotlib) • Strong math and science background • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills • Ability to navigate ambiguity and clarify requirements • Capable of engaging effectively with both internal staff and external customers Soft Skills • Demonstrated initiative and results orientation • Ability to cultivate a diverse and inclusive environment built on trust and credibility • Comfortable presenting and selling technical concepts to stakeholders Additional Information • No third party resumes will be accepted • Drug testing and/or other employment-related inquiries may be conducted • CTG will consider for employment qualified applicants with criminal histories in a manner consistent with all applicable local, state, and federal laws • All interested individuals MUST be able to work on a W2 Tax basis (no C2C or third-party vendors) • CTG is an Equal Employment Opportunity employer • CTG is an E-Verify Company To be considered for this opportunity, please apply directly through our website or email your Word version resume and salary expectations to Emily.Drew@ctg.com.
