What you’ll do:


Position title: Full Stack Cloud Native Development iXp Intern (f/m/d) – Software Developer 
Work Area: Software Design and Development
Location: St. Leon-Rot
Expected start date: July 1, 2025


In this role, you’ll:

 

As a Full Stack Cloud Native Development Intern, you will contribute to the design and development of appealing and sustainable cloud provisioning solutions using a test-driven methodology and cutting-edge cloud-native tooling. You will work together closely with international colleagues in a highly collaborative environment. 

 Learn or solidify skills in Golang and JavaScript/TypeScript programming.  Learn about Kubernetes and cutting-edge cloud-native tooling.  Develop Kubernetes operators in Golang and Node.js ES6 based microservices deployed on Kubernetes.  Develop and implement functionalities to ensure secure cloud operations.  Gain new skills in CI/CD pipelines and quality management.  Perform agile prototyping to evaluate and select the best solution for each task.  Work closely with team members. We encourage pair programming for effective collaboration and knowledge sharing


Who you are:

 

Student (f/m/d) at a university or a university of applied sciences with very good academic achievement.  Preferred fields of study: Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or related disciplines.  Knowledge of software development in at least one modern programming language (Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript or Golang is a plus).  Experience with version control systems, specifically Git, and familiarity with GitHub or similar platforms for collaborative coding.   Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in an international team. Proficient in both written and spoken English.  Strong analytical skills combined with the ability to work on complex topics and drive their realization.  Good team player. You enjoy collaborating with others and are comfortable participating in code reviews and pair programming.  Eager to learn about Golang/ Node.js and state of the art open-source cloud native Kubernetes tools.  “Can do” attitude and keen on mastering the full stack, from UI to backend, including Continuous Delivery & Continuous Integration.
