Job Description

The Busser is responsible for maintaining a clean and inviting restaurant facility by clearing/wiping tables, stocking products, performing housekeeping functions and engaging with our guests to ensure their needs are met. This position reports to the Restaurant Manager.

Essential Job Functions

Responsible for following designated opening/closing procedures for the restaurant, to include housekeeping functions for restaurant and restroom areasEnsure all food items are stocked and alert manager to items which are out of stockComplete side work duties to ensure the restaurant is ready for serviceEngage with guests, helping as needed to ensure their needs are metClean and clear tables efficientlyMaintain cleanliness of bus stations to include removal of trash, recycling, compostingMove tables, chairs, bus stations to facilitate housekeepingComplete tasks and projects delegated by your manager and assist elsewhere as business volumes and staff levels demandOther duties as assigned

Qualifications

Education & Experience Requirements

High School Diploma or GED preferredPrior guest service experience is preferredPrior work experience in a restaurant is preferred

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Knowledge of company policies and proceduresUnderstanding on how to assist customers and meet their needs effectivelyProficiency in communicating clearly both verbally and in writing to team members and customersProficient written and verbal communication English skills, Spanish a plusAbility to work under stressful circumstancesAbility to quickly adapt to changes in processes, customer flow, environments, and tasksAbility to engage with customers in a positive and helpful mannerAbility to work in collaboration with others to achieve team goals

Work Environment and Physical Demands

Ability to reach, crouch, kneel, stand, bend or be on your feet for extended periods of timeRegularly work in wet, cold, hot conditions requiring the use of protective apparel/equipment to prevent exposure to the elements and may be required to walk on slippery and uneven surfacesMust be able to frequently lift, push or pull up to 50 lbs. individually or with assistance (weight limits can vary according to position, but no more than 50)
