Full Charge Bookkeeper

Robert Half is partnering with a growing organization to find a dedicated Full-Charge Bookkeeper to manage complex accounting processes, oversee financial records, and support day-to-day business operations. Responsibilities: + Maintain an accurate general ledger by processing journal entries, reconciling accounts, and handling month-end and year-end closings. + Manage accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR), and payroll processing. + Prepare and analyze financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements. + Issue invoices, track payments, and monitor collections to ensure timely and accurate revenue reporting. + Monitor and manage budgets, identifying areas for cost savings and process improvement. + File local, state, and federal tax reports, ensuring compliance with laws and regulations. + Liaise with external auditors, accountants, and stakeholders during audits and financial reviews. + Oversee administrative accounting operations, including vendor relations and expense tracking. Requirements + Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred (or equivalent experience). + 3+ years of experience in bookkeeping, accounting, or related financial roles, with full-charge bookkeeping experience strongly preferred. + Proficiency in bookkeeping software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or Xero, as well as advanced Microsoft Excel skills. + Strong understanding of GAAP and accounting principles. + Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to multitask effectively. + Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with vendors, clients, and internal teams. Preferred Skills (Optional): + Experience working in specific industries + Knowledge of tax codes and payroll regulations. + CPA or bookkeeping certification (preferred but not required).
