Job Title: Full-Charge Bookkeeper
Location: South Bay, CA (On-site)
Employment Type: Full-Time, Permanent
A family-oriented company in the South Bay is seeking an experienced Full-Charge Bookkeeper to manage day-to-day accounting operations. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone who thrives in a close-knit team and can take full ownership of the books. Experience in the construction industry is highly preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Manage all aspects of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger
+ Handle bank reconciliations, credit card reconciliations, and journal entries
+ Process payroll and ensure compliance with relevant labor and tax regulations
+ Prepare monthly and quarterly financial statements
+ Maintain accurate job costing and support project accounting
+ Coordinate with external CPAs for year-end close and tax prep
+ Ensure proper documentation and maintain organized financial records
Qualifications:
+ 5+ years of full-charge bookkeeping experience
+ Construction or job cost accounting experience preferred
+ Strong knowledge of accounting principles and payroll processing
+ Proficient in QuickBooks (or similar accounting software)
+ Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and communication skills
+ Ability to work independently and take initiative in a small office setting

Requirements • Minimum of 2 years of experience in full charge bookkeeping.
• Proficiency in QuickBooks and advanced Excel skills.
• Strong knowledge of Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) processes.
• Demonstrated ability to reconcile bank statements and manage cash flow effectively.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to adapt to new financial software and systems.
• Solid understanding of budgeting and forecasting principles.
• Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
