Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Full Charge Bookkeeper to take full ownership of our accounting operations within the real estate industry. The ideal candidate will have a strong command of accounting principles, exceptional organizational skills, and the ability to manage all aspects of the company’s financial operations, including general ledger, payroll, and financial reporting. Proficiency with SAP is crucial for maintaining financial records and efficiently managing accounting processes.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Full-Cycle Accounting: Manage all aspects of full-cycle bookkeeping, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger maintenance, payroll, and bank reconciliations.
+ SAP Utilization: Use SAP ERP to record and maintain financial transactions, generate reports, reconcile accounts, and optimize accounting workflows.
+ Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including cash flow reports, profit and loss statements, and balance sheets.
+ Budget Management: Assist in the preparation and monitoring of budgets, using SAP tools to track expenses and identify variances.
+ Tax Preparation: Maintain accurate records to support tax filings, assist with sales tax reporting, and collaborate with external tax professionals to ensure compliance.
+ Payment Processing: Manage vendor payments and expense reimbursements, ensuring all transactions are properly documented and recorded.
+ Real Estate Transactions: Manage accounting for real estate-specific transactions, including property management, rental income, and amortization of costs.
+ Reconciliations: Perform regular reconciliations for bank accounts, credit card accounts, tenant accounts, and intercompany transactions.
+ Audit Support: Prepare documentation and assist with internal audits, ensuring financial compliance with industry and regulatory standards.
+ Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with property managers, leasing agents, and other real estate professionals to ensure accurate financial reporting and resolve discrepancies.
Requirements
Requirements:
+ Experience: Minimum of 5 years in a full-charge bookkeeping role, with at least 2 years in the real estate industry.
+ SAP Proficiency: Demonstrated experience using SAP ERP systems for accounting and financial reporting tasks.
+ Education: Associate degree in accounting, finance, or a related field. A bachelor’s degree and/or certification such as CPB (Certified Professional Bookkeeper) is a plus.
+ Technical Skills:
+ Strong understanding of real estate accounting practices and procedures.
+ Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial software.
+ Familiarity with real estate transaction workflows (e.g., rent roll management, tenant billing).
+ Detail-Oriented: High attention to detail, accuracy, and organization in all bookkeeping tasks.
+ Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to identify and resolve discrepancies independently.
+ Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication for collaborating with internal and external stakeholders.
+ Time Management: Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
