Full Charge Bookkeeper
Description We are looking for an experienced Full Charge Bookkeeper to join our team in Long Beach, California. In this long-term contract role, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of financial operations, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant regulations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in bookkeeping, payroll, and financial reporting, along with proficiency in accounting software. Responsibilities: • Maintain accurate financial records by managing the general ledger, recording transactions, and reconciling accounts and bank statements. • Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes, including invoice processing, payment tracking, and collections. • Process payroll by tracking employee hours, managing deductions, and ensuring compliance with tax regulations. • Prepare comprehensive financial reports on a monthly and quarterly basis, assist with budgeting, and analyze variances against budget goals. • Ensure compliance with state and federal tax laws, sales tax regulations, and prepare audit-ready documentation. • Utilize accounting software such as QuickBooks or Xero to manage financial data efficiently and generate detailed reports. • Collaborate with team members to streamline financial processes and ensure seamless operations. • Monitor and implement best practices for financial management to support organizational goals. Requirements • Minimum of 3 years of experience in bookkeeping, including payroll, accounts payable, and bank reconciliations. • Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks or Xero. • Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail. • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively. • Solid understanding of state and federal tax regulations and compliance requirements. • Excellent communication skills to collaborate with team members and stakeholders. • Associate degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred but not required.
